What is it exactly that you guys do?
We get together and exchange ideas, share methods and techniques on building, repairing and improving our creations. We also build other props from the Star Wars universe and from other movies. Express yourself as an artist, fabricator, builders or fan of the Star Wars universe and Sci-Fi genre and come build with us!
R2DC is local group of fans who gather locally several times a year throughout the Baltimore-Washington DC Metro Area. We also include our fan friends from in Virginia, Delaware, Pennsylvania & West Virginia!
You do not have to be a rocket scientist to build one of these (but it helps if you are one)! All you need is a desire to make something and enjoy the experience. Many of us participate in fan events; be it Star Wars related or other things like Robot Fest or Sci-Fi/Pop culture conventions.
We have worked with our sibling fan organizations including the 501st and the Rebel Legion on various non-profit and charity events like "Make-a-Wish".
By the way, did I mention that we love Star Wars and like to hang out with like minded fans? Just like any other hobby, our passion is an escape to enjoy the things that you love to have fun with!
We are individual builders that make up a regional and global fan base or Star Wars Fans. We are not a company or corporation.
R2-D2 and other Star Wars related robots, droids, props etc. displayed and mentioned on this website (unless otherwise noted) are the personal property of individual members and are not for rent or sale.
